'Ne' looks at an incredible form of art, which few people notice all around them - neon. 'Ne' follows the course of neon art through two visionary artists. Michael Flechtner, a hip, quirky artist with a love for aquatic animals and Larry Albright, a long-retired neon innovator and artist, world-renowned for his work with plasma. The bridge between the two, the past and the future of neon, is the Museum of Neon Art in Los Angeles, which seeks to preserve the dying art form of neon. Stylistically, the film blends elements of verite with voiceover interviews and musical sequences that reveal the unique personalities which are found in every work of handcrafted neon.
